I wrote this post way back and its sat in my drafts. Im just catching up on all the garden posts!
So pretty much all spare time is taken up in the garden. Progress is being made and here we are in April with the bones of the garden in place.
Digging out the path was hard work! I unburied two old washing lines that had been concreted in, so Mr Brown had to get them out.
but after lots and lots of shifting of earth the path was finally dug.
Next day we went and bought the bark chippings… 15 bags to be exact, pretty heavy stuff, the car was nearly on the ground. we shifted it into the car, then out the other side…I ached so much that night. but by the end of the Sunday we had the bark down.
Next followed a week of April showers and working and not much time in the garden.
But on Saturday it was dry and bright and we sunk the shed into place down the end.
Then we bought a few plants…. which was very exciting.
Sunday we planted them…and painted the back of the shed and put up the old bed stead I bought from a little old man on the side of the road…
Then it started to look almost like an actual garden!
First of the catch up garden posts!!
To be continued ……
